• Delhi’s Bharat Mandapam resonated with the collective commitment of ‘I will transform Bihar.’ Over 2,000 native Biharis participated in the historic Bihar @ 2047 Vision Conclave and pledged to build a developed Bihar by 2047.”

 

New Delhi, December 22, 2024 — The Bihar @ 2047 Vision Conclave (Season 2), part of the Let’s Inspire Bihar initiative, concluded successfully today at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. The day-long historic event witnessed the enthusiastic participation of over 2000 entrepreneurs, start-ups, and thought leaders from Bihar and the diaspora. The conclave provided a robust platform to deliberate on Bihar’s growth trajectory and culminated with the release of a comprehensive Vision 2047 Document.

Launched on March 22, 2021, by Senior IPS Officer Vikas Vaibhav, the Let’s Inspire Bihar campaign aims to create a developed Bihar and, consequently, a developed India by 2047. Its vision is to ensure that no one leaves Bihar for education, employment, or healthcare. Rooted in the principles of education, equality, and entrepreneurship, the campaign draws inspiration from Bihar’s rich cultural and entrepreneurial heritage to unite people cutting across the caste and community lines to foster national development. Over 150,000 volunteers actively contribute through its various chapters.

 

The campaign envisions an entrepreneurial revolution in Bihar, focusing on job creation within the state. It is building a supportive ecosystem for youth entering self-employment, start-ups, and enterprises. By 2028, it aims to establish five start-ups in each district, each generating 100+ jobs.

Addressing a packed audience at Bharat Mandapam, the chief patron of the campaign, a 2003 batch IPS officer Mr. Vikas Vaibhav delivered an inspiring speech emphasizing the need to transcend divisions and restore Bihar’s historical and cultural legacy. He said that all of us sitting here do not represent a particular caste, community, religion, colour or creed, rather we are sitting here to symbolise a shared vision for the development of Bihar. Rejecting the narratives of fragmentation based on caste, community, and religion, he passionately declared, “Bihar needs to wake up from its deep slumber, break inertia and move away from long state of stagnancy, believing in its inherent power and potential that at one point of time showed remarkable leadership to the world.” Vaibhav further asked the audience to be optimistic about the future of Bihar, also highlighting the importance of Artificial Intelligence that can play a crucial role in social transformation in the coming age. He rooted for establishing centres of excellence for Artificial Intelligence in different districts of Bihar, in the time to come. Vaibhav further noted that without rising above the different kinds of differences we have created in the society, it is not possible to develop Bihar even by 2147, let alone by 2047, that we are dreaming of.

Mr. Vaibhav urged citizens to take ownership of nation-building, calling upon the audience to become agents of change. He urged the people to cordially take this campaign as their own campaign undertaking commitment to play their part in the socio-economic transformation of Bihar. Citing successful transformative efforts in Bagaha and Rohtas where he got to serve as the top cop of both the districts, he attributed the socio-legal achievements to the communities embracing the grand vision of their ancestors. He called for an entrepreneurial revolution as the cornerstone of Bihar’s development and appealed for collective support. He urged not just the individuals but all the organisations working for the betterment of Bihar to join hands together with the Lets Inspire Bihar campaign in creating an illustrious future for the State of Bihar. He apprised the audience about few such organisations joining hands with the campaign of late including Private Schools & Children Welfare Association, covering a whopping 25,000+ schools under its banner, Auto Rickshaw Union, Muzaffarpur, Sakhi Bahinpa Maithilani organisation comprising 40,000+ women and Bihari Welfare Society, Delhi, among others.

The electrified crowd joined him in chanting, “I will transform Bihar,” reaffirming their commitment to progress. Highlighting Bihar’s ancient prosperity, rooted in its Vedantic heritage, Mr. Vaibhav emphasized the pivotal role of education, equality, and entrepreneurship in its resurgence – values central to the Let’s Inspire Bihar campaign. He reminded the audience that, ‘The man whom the world considered as the light of Asia emanated from the land of Bihar.’

The event was graced by the distinguished guests including Mr. Manoj Tiwari, Loksabha MP from North East Delhi, well-known Islamic religious scholar Maulana Kalbe Rushaid Rizvi, Ms. Shreyasi Singh, Mr. Dadan Yadav, former Minister, renowned Hindi poet Shambhu Shikhar, celebrated singer Nitu Kumari Nutan, Shashi Kant Ray, Digital Health Expert (MOHFW), Jayant Shandilya, a businessman based in Netherland, Dr. Jwala Prasad, Ankit Kumar, (Founder, Bihar Chhatra Sansad), Luv Singh (Social Activist) and various other eminent professionals and bureaucrats.

The Vision 2047 Document outlines actionable strategies across 16 key areas, including education, entrepreneurship, health, agriculture, environment conservation, and tourism. The document reflects the shared vision of stakeholders for a developed Bihar by 2047. Experts and participants shared insights on a wide range of topics, such as fostering entrepreneurship, boosting water resource management, promoting IT-enabled services, and enhancing transport and communication infrastructure.

The conclave celebrated the success of initiatives like the Jivaka Chapter, which has organized over 250 free health camps benefiting 35,000+ underprivileged individuals, and the Gargi Chapter, which empowers women and students through skill development and free education centres across different districts of Bihar. Participants highlighted achievements like the occurrence of over 1,600 programs across Bihar and the diaspora, Start-Up Summits, and vibrant public dialogues (Namaste Bihar Brihat Jan Samvad) that have mobilized thousands of people towards Bihar’s development.

Addressing the audience, Loksabha MP Manoj Tiwari said, “This conclave showcases the potential of Bihar to lead India’s growth story. He lauded the campaign and its objectives & congratulated its patron Vikas Vaibhav for the creation of this platform, urging people to join the campaign en masse.” Let us all contribute to this collective vision with an unwavering commitment, he further said.

Speaking in the event, an internationally acclaimed shooter who also happens to be an MLA from Jamui Vidhansabha Constituency of Bihar, said that, “By focusing on education, egalitarianism, and entrepreneurship, the Lets Inspire Bihar initiative is laying the foundation for a prosperous Bihar. We all must help Vikas Vaibhav ji in his noble efforts.” She rooted for the women playing a pivotal role in this transformative journey of Bihar”,

Internationally renowned Islamic Religious Scholar Maulana Syed Kalbe Rushaid Rizvi applauded the efforts of Vikas Vaibhav for creating this platform that enables all the Bihar-loving people to join hands together to think and act for its development. He noted that Vaibhav is marching with a great vision for the resurgence of Bihar & we all must stand together in unison with him for the State’s bright future. “Bihar has such an illustrious cultural heritage, that even Lord Rama’s life remains incomplete without Bihar’s goddess, Mother Sita,” added Mr. Rizvi.

Renowned Hindi poet Mr. Shambhu Shekhar also graced the occasion. Highlighting the crucial role being played by Mr. Vaibhav in igniting and enabling a socio-economic transformation of Bihar, Shikhar said that the Lets Inspire Bihar campaign has ignited a hope in the common people, more particularly the youth populace of Bihar, for its bright future.

Ankit Kumar, Founder of Bihar Chhatra Sansad, who has been associated with the Lets Inspire Bihar campaign from its very beginning, said that Vikas Vaibhav ji is showing us a remarkable leadership and I am sure that the State will progress and prosper if his vision gets embraced by the people at large.

Other distinguished guests also addressed the audience on the occasion.

Mr. Indramohan Munna, the campaign’s coordinator for the Delhi-NCR region and a part of the program’s organizing committee, showed great satisfaction at the success of the program held in Bharat Mandapam today. Other organizing committee members including Jitendra Kushwaha, Aakash, Kunj Bihari and Narayan Hari among others, while delighted at the success of the event, thanked the attendees for joining the program in such a big number.

The campaign’s members from different parts of the Country including Chief Coordinator Mr. Rahul Kumar, Entrepreneurship coordinator Mr. Mohan Jha, Yash Upadhyay, Aashish Ranjan, Anil Jha and Raju Jha, among others, also attended the event.
