Working journalist of India affiliated to BMS has formed it’s Kerala State committee. National Vice President Sanjay Kumar Upadhyay has inaugurated the function. He demanded Press council of India should dissolve and should form Media council of India. It should accommodate visual , electronic and digital media journalists. It will help to ending the partiality. He also demanded to the central government to implement pension schemes, education policy for children and health insurance for all kind of journalists . WJI will contest a Dharna pradarshan (huge agitation) against the central govt. on February 12, 2022 at Jantar Mantar, New Delhi and will hand over memorandum to Prime Minister. He urged all journalists to come forward and should participate for the protest. State President Mr. Shiju G Tharayil was also preached , he said, journalists should come to a single platform and work for their working freedom as well as welfare. Jiby Rocky became the General Secretary, Santhosh kumar m and Dhanya Sekaran as vice president, Justin and Sujith Valoor as Secretary and other members are Nilin Kripakaran (Tiruvanntapuram), Santosh (Kozhikode), Ajith kumar K P (Thrissur), Vishnu Thonnakkal(Trivandrum), Athira Sarswath (Kannoor), Shyam kumar RT(Kollam), Binish P Nair( kottayam), Vishnu R Unnithan(Pathanamthitta), and Joji Mon(Allapuzha).
